Upon arrival into Chileka International Airport you will be met by your private driver in arrivals for your transfer to Mkulumadzi Lodge in Majete Wildlife Reserve. Journey takes about 2 hours 30 minutes driving.

Majete is situated at the base of Africa’s Great Rift Valley and, despite its blossoming wildlife population arising from recent conservation efforts, it remains off-the-beaten-track in comparison to other safari destinations in Africa. Expect remote luxury and first-class guiding deep in the unspoiled bush. Your accommodation will be at the Mkulumadzi Lodge in the honeymoon chalet, set in a total seclusion.

Activities at Mkulumadzi are very flexible, led by experienced first-class guides with extensive training, so use this evening to plan out exactly what you would like to do in the next couple of days here. With boating, walking and vehicle safaris and the option to visit local villages, you certainly won’t fall short on things to do here.

After your morning activity and breakfast, you will check out and cross the foot bridge to meet your guide to transfer you to Kuthengo Camp in Liwonde National Park. Arriving about 4 hours later, you will be transferred to Kuthengo Camp by boat across the Shire River where you will stay for the next 2 nights.

Nestled among the Fever trees and baobabs, Kuthengo Camp is an intimate, exclusive, rustic camp with no barriers to nature. You will often have elephants, antelope, warthogs and more milling around your veranda, along with hippos in the Shire beyond your tent. At the Kuthengo Camp, you have 2 full days to engage yourselves in Liwonde’s wilderness. Activities at Kuthengo include 2 game activities per day where you may choose from game drives in open safaris vehicles, boat safaris on the Shire River and walking safaris to occupy your days.

After your morning activity and breakfast, you will check out and transferred by boat, crossing the Shire. You will meet your guide and start driving to Pumulani Lodge on the shores of Lake Malawi in Lake Malawi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Journey takes about 4 hours driving.

Pumulani Lodge is subtly nestled in the lush hill of Lake Malawi National Park, overlooking the cool blue waters of the third largest lake in Africa. The lodge is delightful place and offers the most spectacular views of the lake. It offers a perfect mix for a memorable holiday. The ten villas scattered amongst the boulders and tree with the Lake Malawi National Park, and in perfectly with their surroundings. Enjoy being active or simply relax in the beautiful and tranquil scenery.

All good things must come to an end! Today after your breakfast, you will be transferred by boat back to the mainland. You will meet your guide, after greetings you will start driving to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home. Your journey to the Airport will be about 45 hours drive.
