Upon arrival at the Chileka International Airport in Blantyre, you will be met by a Malawi on Wheels guide. After greetings your journey to Kara O Mula Country Lodge by Serendib Hotels on the foot of Mount Mulanje will begin. Journey will take about 2 hours driving.

Enjoy your morning on the foot of Mount Mulanje. After breakfast, you will be picked and start driving back to Blantyre, proceed to Thawale Lodge Thawale Lodge in Majete Wildlife Reserve will begin. Journey will take about 3 hours driving.

A classic tented camp in the prime wildlife area and conservation success that is Majete Wildlife Reserve. Thawale Lodge is a peaceful haven from which you can experience Majete Wildlife Reserve, a completely unfenced camp that provides guests with a unique experience in natural surroundings.

The lodge offers eight tented chalets and two purpose-built air-conditioned chalets for families – each with two en-suite bedrooms, lounge, and veranda overlooking the waterhole. Today after breakfast, you will be picked from Kara O Mula and start driving to Liwonde National Park - Malawi’s premier wildlife destinations. Your accommodation Liwonde National Park will be at Mvuu Camp. The journey is 3 hours driving.

Located in the southern part of Malawi on the banks of Shire River and Lake Malombe. Liwonde National is Malawi’s wildlife premier destination. The 580 sq km wildlife reserve is home to over 400 species of bird, a dense population of hippos, crocodiles, large numbers of elephants and a variety of antelope species. There is regular sightings of lions, cheetahs, and black rhinos.

Mvuu Camp is set amongst large, shady trees along the banks of the surging Shire River. The camp offers a charming setting for those wishing to explore the country’s premier wildlife haven. The impressive thatched dining and lounge area offers magnificent vistas over the river, framed by two large baobab trees. The camp’s inviting pool is ideal for those wishing to cool off. The camp is completed by a traditional dining under the stars. The camp offers an impressive atmosphere, lively and dynamic.

Today after morning game activity, the journey continues to yet another stunning destination Mumbo Island on Lake Malawi. Getting to Cape Maclear you will be transferred by boat to the Island. The journeys take about 3 hrs driving and 45 min Boat transfer.

Mumbo Island Lodge is a pristine and deserted tropical island, and the undisputed jewel of the Lake Malawi National Park. The Island has never been populated, and is in its natural state with thick covering of Miombo woodland, ancient fig and baobab trees.

The five reed chalets are situated on the tiny islet of “Jumbo”, reached by a wooden bridge from Mumbo’s main beach. The dining area, lounge and forest chalet are tucked into the forest on the main island. Chalets are set as far apart from one another as possible to guarantee privacy. Each chalet has its own en-suite bathroom, deck with hammock and a spectacular view over the turquoise waters of Mumbo. The lodge cater for every comfort whilst keeping everything as simple and local as possible.

All good things must come to an end! Today after your breakfast, you will be transferred by boat back to the mainland. Your guide will be waiting for you and after checking out, you will start driving back to Lilongwe’s Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe for your flight back home. The journeys take about 4 hours driving.
