Welcome to Malawi! Arriving at the Chileka International Airport in Blantyre, your Malawi on Wheels guide will help you with the bags to the vehicle. After greetings, we will start driving to Huntingdon House in Thyolo. Journey takes about 2 hours driving.

The House was built in the 1930’s and have five spacious rooms. Our ambition is to give all our guests in a unique and personal experience and insight to the special life on the Tea Estate in Africa.

Huntingdon House and Satemwa Estate, evokes a romantic nostalgia for Malawi's past. By African standards, 100 years of history is seldom found. Every tea field, tree and building on this estate shares a tale and you are invited to enjoy a glimpse of a bygone era in this rapidly changing continent. The Estate and the House is still run by his family. We hope you will find a home away from staying here with us.

Enjoy your morning in the beautiful tea regions of Malawi. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Thawale Lodge in Majete Wildlife Reserve. Restored to diverse abundance with thriving animal population and plentiful birdlife. Journey takes about 2 hours driving.

Mkulumadzi Lodge is an exclusive luxury lodge in southern Malawi, set on a rush riverbank within Majete Wildlife Reserves. It enjoys an idyllic location at the confluence of two rivers shaded by giant leadwood trees. It is the perfect combination of splendid isolation and first-class facilities. Enjoy your last morning in the reserve. After your morning activity, you will be transferred to Sunbird Ku Chawe Hotel a mountain resort on the Zomba Plateau. Journey takes about 3 hours drive.

Zomba plateau is a breathtaking natural landmark known for its lush forests, stunning waterfalls, and varied landscapes. The plateau rises to an elevation of over 2,000 meters, providing a unique and immersive experience for visitors. Zomba plateau has tracts of cedar, pine and cypress but elsewhere the vegetation is wild and mixed making Zomba a popular destination.

Sunbird Ku Chawe is Malawi’s premier mountain resort and one of the very best places from which to enjoy the splendor of a magnificent scenic country. The hotel sits on the sedge of the Zomba Plateau, which rises to nearly 2200m, (7000ft), with the highest peaks on the rim forming a saucer shaped bowl. Around this rim are some of the most stunning views in Africa. Rooms are en-suite, air-conditioned, have digital satellite television, international direct dialling, Wi-Fi internet, email facilities and 220 volts power points (British Standard).

Today after your breakfast, you will be picked and start driving to Mvuu Lodge in the Liwonde National Park. Arriving late in the morning, you will be transferred by boat to the lodge. Journey takes about 2 hours driving.

Hidden amongst the iconic fever trees of the magnificent Shire River, Mvuu Lodge overlooks Namagogodo lagoon, as it flows from the park interior out towards the river. Mvuu Lodge offers a secluded escape with breathtaking views and direct access to diverse wildlife. The eco-friendly lodge is 100 percent solar-powered, ensuring sustainable luxury with amenities. Accommodation is a eight spacious tents, including a honeymoon suite. Each of these has a private viewing platform across the lagoon. Three tents include a plunge pool. Today after your morning activities you will be transferred by boat to the other side of Shire River where you will meet your guide. Journey takes about 3 hours driving.

All good things must come to an end! Today after your breakfast, you will be transferred by boat back to the mainland. You will meet your guide, after greetings you will start driving to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home. Your journey to the Airport will be about 4 hours driving.
