Welcome to Malawi! Upon arriving at Bakili Muluzi International Airport (former Chileka International Airport) in Blantyre, a guide from Malawi on Wheels will greet you and assist with your luggage as you head to your vehicle. After exchanging pleasantries, you will be taken to Huntingdon House in the Satemwa Tea Estate in Thyolo. The drive will take approximately 2 hours.

The House was built in the 1930’s and have five spacious rooms. Our ambition is to give all our guests in a unique and personal experience and insight to the special life on the Tea Estate in Africa.

Huntingdon House and Satemwa Estate, evokes a romantic nostalgia for Malawi's past. By African standards, 100 years of history is seldom found. Every tea field, tree and building on this estate shares a tale and you are invited to enjoy a glimpse of a bygone era in this rapidly changing continent. The Estate and the House is still run by his family. We hope you will find a home away from staying here with us.

Its mist-cloaked forests feature both cultivated stands of cedar, pine, and cypress, and expanses of indigenous mixed woodland.
