
Deep in the heart of famed Lower Zambezi National Park, Dulini Anabezi is an oasis of sophisticated luxury. Twelve luxury tents are connected to two main areas on an elevated boardwalk in this classic safari setting with a modern touch.
Explore pristine and untouched wilderness in one of Africa’s most remote safari destinations. Dulini Anabezi sits on the banks of the Zambezi River in a secluded corner in the eastern area of Lower Zambezi National Park. Far from many other camps, Dulini Anabezi is surrounded by the iconic Winterthorn forest, renowned by safari experts, professional photographers, and documentary film crews. The Main Area
The camp consisted of a large central building housing an open lounge, bar and restaurant that was flanked a long row of 12 “tents” lining a 5 m high ridge facing a broad meadow fronted by the huge Zambezi River.
The main building had a large, open deck with a spectacular view of the river, a nice bar and lounging area with coffee table books, a fire pit, and a small pool with loungers to the side. At the far end of the complex was a second pool and bar.

Accommodation
Renew your love affair with nature in one of our twelves tented suites, complete with either king or twin beds, overlooking the Zambezi River, Zambezi Floodplain or Kulefu Channel. Each tent features an indoor ensuite bathroom with Victorian style soaking bathtub, and an outdoor bathroom complete with outdoor shower.
Rooms
All rooms are connected to the camp’s main areas by a raised wooden boardwalk and designed for maximum privacy, creating a personal haven amidst the Zambian wilderness.
Family tent features two connected rooms, one king with en suite bathroom and outdoor bathroom, and one twin room with private bathroom, both of which share the same viewing deck and plunge pool.


The Desks
The deck and swimming pools at the Dulini Anabezi provides sweeping views of the Zambezi River and the floodplain, with daily visits from elephants, buffalo, impala, waterbuck, warthogs, and a variety of birds. Watch the wildlife from the swimming pool, while you’re having lunch or from one of the many lounging areas and take in the surrounding landscape.
It’s not uncommon to get up close views of elephants drinking, bathing, and crossing the Zambezi River to one of its many islands.
Activities & Experiences
Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River on the Eastern End of Lower Zambezi National Park in the heart of the iconic Winterthorn Forest. With a sparse number of camps on this end of the park, sightings are often exclusive with few to no other vehicles, allowing for minimum impact on the wildlife and a more private guest experience.
Game Drive
Experience wildlife on customized open game drives in forests, spotting elephants, buffalo, and leopards. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are timed for active wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, zebras, leopards, lions, painted dogs, kudu, waterbuck, hippos, and more.
Night drives offer unique opportunities to witness nature in true wilderness, with cats hunting, hyenas emerging, and civets and genets scurrying. These short drives allow nature to take its course, but also provide an opportunity to see exceptional moments under the stars.


Walking Safari
Zambia is the birthplace of the walking safari, pioneered by conservationist Norman Carr.
This unique experience allows visitors to explore the bush on foot with a professional guide and an armed National Parks Wildlife Officer, providing insight into the complex bush ecosystem and meeting smaller creatures often missed on drives.
Water Safaris
Cruising down the Zambezi river allows you to experience Lower Zambezi from a different perspective.
At eye level with the rich aquatic ecosystem, watch elephants bath and swim from island to island, G&T in hand, while the sun sets behind the escarpment. You’ll also spot buffalo, crocodiles, hippos, and antelope perched on the river bank floating in our custom-fitted pontoon boats.


Fishing
For those in pursuit of the legendary african tigerfish, the Zambezi River rarely disappoints.
Experienced fishermen and novices alike will enjoy heading out on an afternoon fishing trip with one of our seasoned coxswains, full of expert advice and an unparalleled knowledge of this stretch of the river.
While we provide all the necessary rods and tackle for Spinner and Lure fishing, anglers who specialize in Fly should bring their own equipment.
Canoeing
Paddle the winding waterways of the channels, pausing for hippos and watching elephants.
The Zambezi River is one of Africa’s top canoeing safari destinations, where you can enjoy the peacefulness of the water while observing its vibrant wildlife.
All canoeing activities are with an experienced, certified professional guide.


Bird Watching
Common bird sightings in Lower Zambezi include a wide array of storks, herons, bee-eaters, owls, eagles, and kingfishers to name a few.
You don’t need to be an ornithologist to appreciate the incredible beauty of our bird life, but we do recommend binoculars for best viewing. If you are an experienced birder let us know so we can be sure to pair you with one of our expert birding guides.
Photographic Safari
Dulini Anabezi is location on the east side of the park near the heart of the forest makes for epic sightings with few other vehicles.
We are able to modify our game viewers for photographers and provide custom beanbags if needed.
