Sunbird Ku Chawe is Malawi’s premier mountain resort and one of the very best places from which you can enjoy the splendour of a magnificent scenic country. Nestled on top of the Zomba Plateau, right on the edge of the plateau, in a tranquil forest reserve renowned for its temperature climate and natural splendour is Sunbird Ku Chawe, which rises up to nearly 2200m (7000ft) above sea level, with the highest peaks on the rim forming a saucer bowl. Around this rim, are some of the most stunning views in Africa.

When To Visit
Sunbird Ku Chawe is open all year round. While Ku Chawe is open throughout the year, the best time to visit is generally between May and October, which is the dry season in Malawi. During this period, the climate is mild to warm with littler to no rain.
November to April (The Wet Season). This period is characterized by lush greenery and beautiful sunsets. The rainy season also brigs an abundance of birds and butterflies.
June and July (Coldest Months): Temperatures are at their coolest, with maximums in the low 20s.
