An eco-friendly lodge with thatched chalets on the foot of Lifuwu Hill overlooking Lake Malawi at Senga Bay. Kumbali Lake Retreat comes with the same familiar ‘home-away-from-home’ feel with comfort and nature as the main focus. The property is built into the side of Lifuwu Hill which is home to the indigenous Samango Monkey. Each chalet has an open air heated outdoor shower and self-decomposing toilets. The lake retreat offer a private beach, a guided hike up the hill, snorkeling and a sundowner boat trip to feed fish eagles.
All meals are provided and there is a well-stocked cash bar. Kumbali Lake Retreat provides the perfect setting for a sundowner boat trip around the bay where you can feed the fish eagles and take in the luxury of your surroundings.

Chalet 5 is spacious and features a private lakeview balcony, air conditioning, and spectacular shower room with view of the lake. For a more intimate feel, the 3 huts each are smaller in size but exude a cozy atmosphere. For those seeking a bit more space, Hillview is a charming two-bedroom cottage situated on top of a hill, offering breathtaking views of the nearby fishing village.
Furthermore, nestled between Chalet 5, the huts, and Hillview is Chalet 4, which beautifully combines rustic and modern elements.
